Paul Tamasy is a British-American screenwriter and producer. Born on 17 February 1964 in Thetford, England, he studied at the UCLA School of Theatre, Film and Television.

Tamasy's early screen credits include writing *Air Bud* (1997) and *Air Bud: Golden Receiver* (1998). He is best known for his long collaboration with Eric Johnson; together they received an Academy Award nomination for the screenplay of *The Fighter* (2010), on which Tamasy is also credited with the story and as a producer. Their other joint credits include the story for *Patriots Day* (2016) and the screenplay for *The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare* (2024). Tamasy has also written *The Finest Hours* (2016) and *The Outpost* (2020).
