He is best known for his long-term collaboration with Rhett Reese, with whom he has written several feature films. Wernick began his career as a television news producer, winning three Emmy Awards, before moving into reality television. He co-created and produced shows including *The Joe Schmo Show*. His first feature collaboration with Reese was *Zombieland* (2009). Subsequent credits include *G.I.
