## Biography

Paula DuPré Pesmen is an American film producer and writer. She began her career in 1989 as a production assistant on the television series *Jesse Hawkes* and later worked as an associate producer on several feature films, including *Mrs. Doubtfire* (1993) and the first three *Harry Potter* films (2001–2004).

She has produced documentary features such as *The Cove* (2009), *Chasing Ice* (2012), *Quincy* (2018) and *Porcelain War* (2024). *The Cove* won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature, while *Quincy* received a Grammy Award for Best Music Film. In 2010 she was named Producer of the Year by the Producers Guild of America.

Pesmen is based in Boulder, Colorado, where she founded the nonprofit There With Care, which supports families facing critical illness.
