## Biography

Payton Koch is an American film editor. He earned a bachelor's degree in film production from Chapman University and began his career as a production assistant on Ryan Murphy productions, including American Horror Story. He advanced to assistant editor roles on series such as The Politician, Ratched and Impeachment: American Crime Story, often working alongside editor Shelly Westerman.

Koch is best known for his work as an editor on the Hulu series Only Murders in the Building (2022–2024), where he received Primetime Emmy Award and ACE Eddie Award nominations. He has also edited episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender (2024). He is the grandson of producer Hawk Koch and great-grandson of producer and director Howard W. Koch.
