## Biography

Pedro Peirano is a Chilean screenwriter, director, journalist and cartoonist. He co-created the long-running satirical puppet television series *31 Minutos* (2003), on which he also served as writer and director.

Peirano wrote the screenplay for the film *No* (2012), which received an Academy Award nomination for Best Foreign Language Film. His other screenwriting credits include *The Maid* (2009), *Young and Wild* (2012) and an episode of the series *Perry Mason* (2020). He has also worked as a script consultant on several films and received awards including the World Cinema Screenwriting Award at Sundance.
