## Biography

Pedro Urano is a Brazilian cinematographer and director. He studied at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and holds a master's degree in the history of sciences, techniques and epistemology from the same institution.

Urano has worked as director of photography on numerous films and documentaries. His credits include *Apocalypse in the Tropics* (2024), directed by Petra Costa. He has also directed documentaries such as *Estrada Real da Cachaça* (2008) and *HU* (2011, co-directed with Joana Traub Csekö), both of which screened at international festivals.
