## Biography

Pendleton Ward is an American animator, writer, producer and director. He created the series *Adventure Time* (2010–2018) and has worked for Cartoon Network Studios, Frederator Studios and Netflix Animation.

Ward studied at the California Institute of the Arts. He wrote and storyboarded an episode of *Over the Garden Wall* (2014) and contributed to series including *The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack* (2008), *Steven Universe* (2013) and *The Midnight Gospel* (2020).

Born Ward Taylor Pendleton Johnston in San Antonio, Texas, in 1982, he is also known for creating the web series *Bravest Warriors*.
