## Biography

Peter Atencio is an American television and film director and producer. He directed and produced every episode of the sketch comedy series *Key & Peele* (2012–2015), for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award as co-executive producer, as well as a Peabody Award and an American Comedy Award.

Atencio directed the action comedy feature *Keanu* (2016), starring Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele. His other directing credits include episodes of *The Last Man on Earth* (2015), *Jean-Claude Van Johnson* (2016), *Whiskey Cavalier* (2019), *The Twilight Zone* (2020) and *The Afterparty* (2022), and the features *The Machine* (2023) and the forthcoming *Animal Friends* (2027).
