## Biography

Peter Bennett is a British television producer who has also worked extensively as a first assistant director and in other production roles. His first assistant director credits began in 1976 with the film *Emily* and include feature films such as *The Mummy* (1999), *The Mummy Returns* (2001), *Alexander* (2004) and *Syriana* (2005), as well as television series including *Doctor Who* and *Torchwood*.

He has served as location manager on several James Bond films and as production manager on *Doctor Who*. In 2009 Bennett produced the *Torchwood* serial *Children of Earth*. This led to his appointment as a producer on the fifth series of *Doctor Who* in 2010, alongside Tracie Simpson. He returned in the same role for the eighth, ninth and tenth series (2014–2017), working with Nikki Wilson.

Bennett has also produced the CBBC series *Wizards vs. Aliens* (2012–2014).
