Peter Chiarelli is an American screenwriter. He was born in Ft. Lewis, Tacoma, Washington.

Chiarelli wrote the screenplay for the romantic comedy *The Proposal* (2009) and the story for *Now You See Me 2* (2016). He co-wrote the screenplay for *Crazy Rich Asians* (2018) with Adele Lim. He is credited with the screen story for the upcoming film *GOAT* (2026). Earlier in his career he worked as a producer on several films, including *Eagle Eye* (2008).
