Peter Crane is a British film and television director and producer. Born on 22 December 1948 in Harrow, Middlesex, he graduated from film school in 1970 and began directing in the early 1970s.

He directed the feature films *Assassin* (1973) and *Moments* (1974). Crane is best known for his work on American television series, directing episodes of *Knight Rider* (1982), *The Fall Guy* (1981–1982), *Moonlighting* (1985), *Murder, She Wrote* (1985–1987), *Hunter* (1990–1991) and *Kung Fu: The Legend Continues* (1993–1995).

As a producer, he worked on *The Passion of Ayn Rand* (1999) and received a nomination for the Producers Guild of America Award for Television Producer of the Year in Longform.
