## Biography

Peter Friedlander is a producer and television executive. He began his career in production roles on feature films including *Road to Perdition* (2002) and *Austin Powers in Goldmember* (2002).

From 2003 he worked as an executive at Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman’s Playtone, where he produced the HBO series *Big Love* (2006–2011) and served as a creative executive on several films. He joined Netflix in 2011 as the first dedicated original series employee and later led the scripted series division for the US and Canada, overseeing titles such as *House of Cards*, *Orange Is the New Black*, *Sense8* (2015), *Hemlock Grove* (2013), *Marvel's Daredevil* (2015) and *Marco Polo* (2014).

In September 2025 he was appointed head of global television at Amazon MGM Studios.
