## Biography

Peter Greenhalgh was a British cinematographer. He worked extensively in television drama and factual programming, and was a member of the Guild of British Camera Technicians.

His credits include the 2004 BBC adaptation *North & South*, *Agatha Christie's Poirot* (from 1989), *Clocking Off* (2000–2002), *Merlin* (2008), *Jekyll* (2007), *Ballet Shoes* (2007), *Upstairs Downstairs* (2010), *The Secret of Crickley Hall* (2012) and *The Lady Vanishes* (2013). He also served as director of photography on the factual series *Ancient Egyptians* (2003) and the documentary *Colosseum: Rome's Arena of Death* (2003).

Greenhalgh won a BAFTA TV Award for Best Photography (Factual) for *Ancient Egyptians* and received further BAFTA nominations for *Clocking Off* and *Colosseum*. He died on 6 July 2015.
