## Biography

Peter Gregson is a Scottish cellist and composer. Born in Edinburgh in 1987, he was educated at the Edinburgh Academy and the Royal Academy of Music. He is signed exclusively to Deutsche Grammophon as both performer and composer.

Gregson composed the score for the 2015 feature film *A Little Chaos*, directed by Alan Rickman, which received a Public Choice Award nomination at the World Soundtrack Awards. His other screen credits include *Blackbird* (2019), *Apartment 7A* (2024) and the BBC series *Lost Boys and Fairies* (2024). He has also worked as a musician on films such as *The Equalizer 2* (2018) and *The Old Guard* (2020).

Gregson’s recordings include the 2018 album *Recomposed by Peter Gregson: Bach – The Cello Suites* and his 2025 self-titled album on Decca Records. His work spans contemporary classical music, film, television and dance.
