## Biography

Peter Høimark (1937–2004) was a Danish production designer and special effects artist. He began his career as a property master on Jan Troell's *The Emigrants* (1971) and *The New Land* (1972).

He worked extensively in Danish cinema, serving as production designer on *The Element of Crime* (1984), *Beauty and the Beast* (1983), *Hip hip hurra!* (1987), *Ved vejen* (1988) and *Sofie* (1992). He also contributed special effects to several Olsen Gang films and other productions. He received Robert Awards for production design and special effects on *The Element of Crime* and for production design on *Sofie*. He was the father of special effects artist Hummer Høimark.
