## Biography

Peter Lonsdale is a British film editor. He was born on 14 December 1951 in Shipley, West Yorkshire, England. He began his career in the editorial department on several Hollywood features in the 1980s, serving as assistant editor on *Beverly Hills Cop II* (1987) and associate editor on *Back to the Future Part II* (1989) and *Back to the Future Part III* (1990).

Lonsdale later worked extensively on animated projects, editing Disney direct-to-video releases including *The Lion King II: Simba's Pride* (1998), *The Hunchback of Notre Dame II* (2002) and *The Jungle Book 2* (2003). He was one of the editors on the DreamWorks animated feature *Shark Tale* (2004). His later credits include animatic editing for Disney television series.
