## Biography

Peter Lyons Collister is an American cinematographer and second unit director. Born on 9 March 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio, he attended the USC School of Cinematic Arts. He began his career in the early 1980s as a second-unit director of photography on films including *The Blue Lagoon* (1980), *Summer Lovers* (1982) and *Blame It on Rio* (1984).

Collister has served as cinematographer on numerous features, among them *Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers* (1988), *The Replacement Killers* (1998), *The Amityville Horror* (2005) and the *Alvin and the Chipmunks* films. He was director of photography on 15 episodes of the television series *Arrested Development* (2013). A member of the American Society of Cinematographers, he has frequently collaborated with director Michael Bay on second-unit work.
