Peter Madden was a British character actor. Born Dudley Frederick Peter Butler-Madden on 9 August 1904 in Ipoh, Federated Malay States (now Malaysia), he died on 24 February 1976 in Bognor Regis, Sussex, England.

He appeared in numerous British films and television series from the 1950s to the 1970s, including several Hammer productions. His credits include the Drunken Man in *Saturday Night and Sunday Morning* (1960), McAdams in *From Russia with Love* (1963), a Political Officer in *Doctor Zhivago* (1965), the Chief of Police in *Frankenstein Created Woman* (1967) and Von Tirpitz in *The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes* (1970). On television he was seen in *The Avengers*, *Danger Man* and *The Prisoner*.
