Peter Markle is an American film and television director and screenwriter. He has directed episodes of series including *The X-Files* (1993), *CSI: Crime Scene Investigation* (2000), *CSI: Miami* (2002), *ER* (1994), *Burn Notice* (2007), *Medium* (2005), *Cold Case* (2003), *Numb3rs* (2005), *Millennium* (1996) and *Without a Trace* (2002).

His feature film credits include *Hot Dog… The Movie* (1984), *Youngblood* (1986), *Bat*21 (1988) and *Wagons East* (1994). He also directed the television films *Flight 93* (2006) and *Faith of My Fathers* (2005). Markle was born on 24 September 1952 in Danville, Pennsylvania.

He married actress Melinda Culea in 1996.
