## Biography

Peter McCabe (7 November 1945 – April 1998) was an English author, music journalist and television writer. He served as an editor at Rolling Stone and Oui magazines and as editor-in-chief of Country Music magazine, and wrote books including Apple to the Core: The Unmaking of the Beatles (1972) and Bad News at Black Rock: The Sell-out of CBS News (1987).

McCabe wrote for several television series. He contributed four episodes to Miami Vice (1984) between 1987 and 1989, with credits as writer, teleplay and story, and served as executive story editor on 21 episodes. He also wrote episodes of The Equalizer (1985), Tattingers (1989), True Blue (1990), DEA (1990–1991), The Exile (1991) and Silk Stalkings (1991), and the television film If Looks Could Kill (1996). He worked as a story editor on The Equalizer and as executive story consultant on True Blue.
