## Biography

Peter McKenna is an Irish television writer, creator and executive producer. He created and showran the crime drama *Kin* (2021–2023) for RTÉ, BBC and AMC, and developed, wrote and produced *Hidden Assets* (2021–) and *Red Rock* (2015) for RTÉ, BBC and Amazon.

His other writing credits include episodes of *Gangs of London* (2025), *Around the World in 80 Days* (2021), *The Last Kingdom* (2020), *The Gloaming* (2020), *The Musketeers* (2014–2016), *EastEnders* (2011–2018) and earlier work on *The Clinic* (2005–2009). He has also served as executive producer on several of his series.

McKenna has received multiple Irish Film and Television Awards, including wins for *Kin* and *Red Rock*, and a BAFTA for a 2018 episode of *EastEnders*.
