## Biography

Peter Przygodda (1941–2011) was a German film editor and occasional director. He began working in film in the late 1960s and became a freelance editor around 1970. He is best known for his long collaboration with director Wim Wenders, editing films including *The American Friend* (1977), *Paris, Texas* (1984), *Wings of Desire* (1987), *Until the End of the World* (1991) and *Don't Come Knocking* (2005).

Przygodda received the German Film Award (Filmband in Gold) for editing *Wrong Move* (1975) and *The American Friend* (1977). He taught at the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film München and the Internationale Filmschule Köln, and was a founding member of the Deutsche Filmakademie in 2003. In 2010 he was awarded a star on the Boulevard der Stars in Berlin.
