## Biography

Peter Rader is an American screenwriter, director and producer. He wrote the original screenplay for the 1995 film *Waterworld* and received story credit on *The Last Legion* (2007). As a director, his credits include *Grandmother's House* (1988) and *Hired to Kill* (1990), as well as the 1995 television film *Escape to Witch Mountain*.

Rader graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University. He has also written the biographies *Mike Wallace: A Life* (St. Martin’s Press, 2012) and *Playing to the Gods* (Simon & Schuster, 2018).
