## Biography

Peter S. Feibleman (1930–2015) was an American novelist, playwright and screenwriter. Born in New York City, he was raised in New Orleans and studied acting at the Carnegie Institute of Technology and Columbia University. He worked as an actor in radio from 1940 and in Spain from 1951 to 1957 before beginning to write in 1958.

Feibleman published several novels, beginning with *A Place without Twilight* (1958). His screenwriting credits include the feature *Ensign Pulver* (1964), an episode of *Profiles in Courage* (1964), and two episodes of the series *Columbo* (1976). He also wrote the memoir *Lilly: Reminiscences of Lillian Hellman* (1988).

He received a Guggenheim Award in 1960 and a Golden Pen Award for screenwriting in 1983. Feibleman co-founded the screenplay consulting firm DBA.
