## Biography

Peter Salem is a British composer for film, television, theatre and ballet. He composed the main theme and incidental music for the first four series of the BBC drama *Call the Midwife* (2012), and his theme has remained in use.

His other screen credits include the television films *Cider with Rosie* (2015) and *Five Daughters* (2010), the series *The Vice* (2000–2003) and the feature *The Other Boleyn Girl* (2003). He has written scores for productions by the Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Theatre and Shared Experience, and for ballet companies including English National Ballet and Atlanta Ballet.
