## Biography

Peter Shin is an American animator, director and producer. He has served as supervising director on the animated series *Family Guy* (1999–present) and directed its first episode, 'Death Has a Shadow', as well as later episodes including 'Emission Impossible', 'North by North Quahog', 'It's a Trap!' and 'The Simpsons Guy'.

Shin directed the *Family Guy* film *Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story* (2005) and the television film *Big Bug Man* (2006). He directed episodes of *Duckman* (1994) and *Freakazoid!* (1995), and worked as a character layout artist and timing director on *The Simpsons* (1993–1995). He won an Annie Award for directing the *Family Guy* episode 'North by North Quahog' and has received several Emmy Award nominations.
