## Biography

Phil Collinson is a British television producer. He began his career as an actor before working as a script editor and writer on series including *Emmerdale*, and later became a producer on *Peak Practice*.

Collinson produced the revived *Doctor Who* from 2005 to 2008, overseeing series 1 to 4 and associated specials, and later returned as executive producer from 2023. He also produced *Gentleman Jack* (2019–2022), *It's a Sin* (2021) and *Coronation Street* (2010–2013).

Earlier credits include producer roles on *Sea of Souls*, *Born and Bred* and *Linda Green*. He served as Head of Drama at BBC Manchester from 2008 to 2010.
