Phil Cornwell is an English actor, comedian, impressionist and writer. He was born on 5 October 1957 in Essex, England, and first appeared on television in 1980.

Cornwell is known for his role as local radio DJ Dave Clifton in the BBC series *I'm Alan Partridge* (1997–2002) and the film *Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa* (2013). He provided the voice of the Stare-Out Commentator in the sketch series *Big Train* (1998). He co-wrote and performed in *Stella Street* (1997–2004) and *The Glam Metal Detectives* (1995), and is part of the *Dead Ringers* series. Cornwell voices Murdoc Niccals in the virtual band Gorillaz.
