## Biography

Phil Donahue was an American television host and media personality. He created and hosted the syndicated talk show *The Phil Donahue Show*, later known as *Donahue*, which ran from 1967 to 1996 and featured audience participation on topical issues.

He appeared as himself in the 2014 documentary *Finding Vivian Maier*. Donahue was born Phillip John Donahue in Dayton, Ohio, on 21 December 1935 and died on 18 August 2024.
