Philip Bonham-Carter is a British cinematographer and occasional director. He trained at the London School of Film Technique and spent much of his career at the BBC, where he worked on arts series including *Omnibus* and *Arena*, as well as drama strands such as *Screen One*, *Screen Two* and *Play for Today*.

His credits as director of photography include the 1989 television film *She's Been Away* and feature films such as *American Friends* (1991). He has also directed episodes of documentary and factual series, including work for the BBC on royal family programmes, and later directed the cookery series *Delia's How to Cook* (1998). He was nominated for two BAFTA Awards.
