## Biography

Philip D'Antoni (19 February 1929 – 15 April 2018) was an American film and television producer. He produced the crime thrillers *Bullitt* (1968) and *The French Connection* (1971), the latter winning the Academy Award for Best Picture. He also produced and directed *The Seven-Ups* (1973).

D'Antoni attended Evander Childs High School in the Bronx and Fordham University, graduating with a degree in business administration. He served in the United States Army from 1946 to 1948. He began his career producing television specials including *Elizabeth Taylor in London* (1963) and *Sophia Loren in Rome* (1964).

After his feature films, D'Antoni focused on television, producing series and films such as *Movin' On* (1974–1976) under a contract with NBC.
