Philip Holmes is a British actor. He played the role of Glen in the 1986 film *Children of a Lesser God*.

Holmes was born on 20 December 1976 in Newcastle upon Tyne and moved to Penrith, Cumbria, as an infant. His cousin Gary Gilchrist is also an actor, with credits including *Rob Roy*, *Gladiator* and *Chariots of Fire*. Holmes later qualified as an electrician and lives in the North-East of England. He married Joanna Holmes in 2010.
