## Biography

Philip Ivey is a New Zealand production designer and art director. Born in Auckland on 12 March 1969, he began working in television as an art director on series including *Xena: Warrior Princess*.

His feature credits include art direction on *The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring* (2001), *The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers* (2002) and *The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King* (2003). As production designer he has worked on *District 9* (2009), *Elysium* (2013), *Extraction* (2020), *Extraction 2* (2023) and *Ballerina* (2025). He has received six wins and ten nominations for awards, including a BAFTA nomination.
