## Biography

Philip Levens is an American screenwriter and television producer. He grew up in Lubbock, Texas, and attended the University of Texas at Austin.

Levens wrote and produced on *Smallville* (2001–2003), contributing as writer, story editor and co-producer. He created and was showrunner of the Syfy miniseries *Ascension* (2014). His other credits include writing for *Knight Rider* (2008) and *R. L. Stine's The Haunting Hour* (2011), and executive producing *South Beach* (2006) alongside Jennifer Lopez. He has sold more than twenty pilots to networks including ABC, USA and Fox.
