Philip McGrade is a British actor and writer. He voiced the character Starkard in the animated films *How to Train Your Dragon* (2010) and *How to Train Your Dragon 2* (2014).

McGrade graduated from the University of Strathclyde. He previously worked as an English teacher at a secondary school before leaving to write comedy. His writing credits include the film *I'll Be There* (2003) and more than 1,000 episodes of the television series *The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson* (2005–2011), on which he also appeared in various roles.
