Philip Wright is an English actor. He played DC Lillie in the ITV crime drama series *Prime Suspect* (1991).

His other television credits include DI Steve Thompson in the BBC soap opera *EastEnders* (2019–2021), DI Samuel Royal in *Line of Duty* (2012), Maggs in *Good Omens* (2019), Mr McGregor in *Call the Midwife* (2012), and John Bingley in *Endeavour* (2013). Film roles include Journalist 2 in *The Wings of the Dove* (1997) and Jeremy Ascott in *Rogue Agent* (2022). He appeared as a principal dancer in the film *Fame* (1980). Wright lives in South East London with his wife and children; his son is the British cyclist Fred Wright.
