## Biography

Philippe Kress is a Danish cinematographer born on 27 July 1972 in Taastrup, Denmark. He trained at the European Film College in Denmark, the Maine International Film School in the United States, and the National Film & TV School in the United Kingdom.

Kress began his career in 1999 and has served as director of photography on more than 40 feature films, documentaries and television series. His credits include *King Charles III* (2017), *Riviera*, *Ragnarok*, *Loving Adults* (2022), *April 9th* (2015) and *Eddie: The Sleepwalking Cannibal* (2012). He was also camera operator on *Arn: The Knight Templar* (2007).

He received an Academy Award nomination in 2007 for the short film *Helmer & Son* and an Amanda Award nomination in 2015 for *Beatles*. His brother Eric Kress is also a cinematographer.
