## Biography

Pia Di Ciaula is a Canadian film and television editor based in the United Kingdom. She holds Canadian and Italian passports and is a member of the American Cinema Editors and Canadian Cinema Editors.

She studied photography at Ryerson University in Toronto, where she discovered film editing. Early in her career she worked as a camera assistant and assistant editor before relocating to the UK after meeting director Gillies MacKinnon at the Toronto International Film Festival. She collaborated with him on seven films.

Di Ciaula is known for editing *Tyrannosaur* (2011) and *Journeyman* (2017), both directed by Paddy Considine; *Belle* (2013); Terence Davies’s *A Quiet Passion* (2016); and episodes of *The Crown* (2016–2017). She won a BAFTA Television Craft Award for editing the miniseries *A Very English Scandal* (2018).
