## Biography

Pino Amenta is an Australian television director and producer. He began his career in the mid-1970s, directing episodes of series such as *The Sullivans* (1976) and *Chopper Squad* (1978).

Amenta has directed episodes of numerous Australian and international productions, including *Farscape* (1999), *BeastMaster* (1999), *The Lost World* (1999), *Mortified* (2006), *Wentworth* (2013) and *The Doctor Blake Mysteries* (2013). He co-created the sitcom *All Together Now* (1991–93), on which he directed 92 episodes, and later served as series producer on *Wentworth*, winning an AACTA Award for Best Television Drama. His feature film credits include *Boulevard of Broken Dreams* (1988), *Heaven Tonight* (1990) and *What the Moon Saw* (1990). He is the father of actress Jade Amenta.
