## Biography

Poh Si Teng is a Malaysian-American journalist and documentary filmmaker. Born and raised in Malaysia, she studied at San Francisco State University before working as a journalist for outlets including the New York Times and as a documentary commissioner for Al Jazeera English.

She produced the Academy Award-nominated short documentary *St. Louis Superman* (2019), which won a Critics' Choice Award. She later served as executive producer on *Patrice: The Movie* (2024), which received a Primetime Emmy Award for Exceptional Merit in Documentary Filmmaking. Teng has held roles at the International Documentary Association and ABC News Studios.

Her feature directorial debut, *American Doctor* (2026), which she also wrote and produced, follows American physicians providing medical aid in Gaza. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
