## Biography

Polly Stenham is an English playwright, screenwriter and director. She was born on 16 July 1986 in London and attended Wycombe Abbey. Her debut play *That Face* premiered at the Royal Court Theatre in 2007, when she was 19, and later transferred to the West End.

Stenham has written further plays including *Tusk Tusk* (2009), *No Quarter* (2013), *Hotel* (2014) and *Julie* (2018). She co-wrote the screenplay for the film *The Neon Demon* (2016), directed by Nicolas Winding Refn. She was appointed MBE in 2020 for services to theatre and literature and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
