## Biography

Prunella Gee (born 17 February 1950) is an English former actress, later a counsellor and therapist. She trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, where she won the Spotlight Award for Best Actress in 1972, and began her career with a leading role as Anna Fitzgerald in the 1973 Granada series *Shabby Tiger*.

Her film debut came in 1975 as Rina Van Niekirk in *The Wilby Conspiracy*. That year she also appeared as Sandy Williams in the *The Sweeney* episode 'Cover Story'. Gee is known for roles including Patricia Fearing in *Never Say Never Again* (1983) and Mrs Finney in *Stormy Monday* (1988), as well as guest appearances in series such as *The Professionals* (1977) and *Hammer House of Horror* (1980). From 1999 to 2004 she played Doreen Heavey in *Coronation Street*.

Gee was married to actor and director Ken Campbell from 1978 until their divorce; they had one daughter. She retired from acting in 2004 and subsequently worked as a counsellor and therapist in London.
