Qasim Akhtar is an English actor. He was born on 8 June 1991 in Burnage, Manchester, and trained at the Manchester School of Acting.

Akhtar made his screen debut in the 2006 film *Mischief Night*. He gained prominence playing Chesney Karib in the Channel 4 series *Shameless* from 2007 to 2013. He later portrayed Zeedan Nazir in the ITV soap opera *Coronation Street* from 2014 to 2018 and again from 2021 to 2023.
