## Biography

Quinn Martin (born Irwin Martin Cohn, 22 May 1922 – 5 September 1987) was an American television producer. He began his career as a film editor and writer before becoming an executive producer at Desilu Productions, where he worked on series including *The Untouchables*.

In 1960 he founded QM Productions. The company produced numerous prime-time series, among them *The Fugitive* (1963–1967), *The F.B.I.* (1965–1974), *Cannon* (1971–1976) and *The Streets of San Francisco* (1972–1977). Martin maintained at least one series in prime time every year from 1959 to 1980.

He was posthumously inducted into the Television Hall of Fame in 1997.
