R. H. Bassett, also credited as R.H. Bassett, was an American film composer, arranger and orchestrator. Born Bernard Hazeltine Bassett on 3 September 1878 in Oakland, California, he died on 24 April 1951 in Los Angeles. He contributed music to more than one hundred films from the late silent era through the 1940s, though much of his work was uncredited under studio practices of the time.

Bassett worked primarily with Fox Film Corporation and later 20th Century Fox. His credits include music for *Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans* (1927), *The Big Trail* (1930), *Mad Love* (1935), *The Black Room* (1935), *The Prisoner of Shark Island* (1936) and *The Man They Could Not Hang* (1939). He also provided orchestrations for films such as *Gone with the Wind* (1939).

He collaborated with composers including Hugo Friedhofer and contributed stock music and additional scores reused across productions.
