He was born Robert Lee Adams on 20 September 1942 in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, and died on 26 January 2015 in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.

Adams appeared in films including *Rocky IV* (1985) as Sports Announcer and *Looking for Mr. Goodbar* (1977), and in television series such as *Murder, She Wrote*. He founded The Actors Workshop in Southern California and worked as a radio personality in multiple US markets.
