Rachel Bérendt, born Marie Monique Arkell, was a French actress. She appeared in early films including *Les mystères de Paris* (1922) as La Louve and *Paris Béguin* (1931) as Gaby. In 1951 she played La Comtesse in Robert Bresson's *Diary of a Country Priest*, credited under her birth name Marie-Monique Arkell.

She trained at the Conservatoire and pursued a stage career that included performances in London theatres. She was married to actor Pierre Fresnay from 1918 until their divorce in 1928.
