## Biography

Rachel Gardner is a producer of film and television. She studied at the London School of Economics and worked as a journalist at the Financial Times before returning to New Zealand in 2002. She began producing with the documentary *Colin McCahon: I Am* and later worked on series including *The Lion Man*, which led to her becoming head of drama at Great Southern Film and Television.

Gardner has frequently collaborated with Angela Littlejohn on short films and features such as *Apron Strings* (2008), *Show of Hands* (2008) and *Slow West* (2015). She joined See-Saw Films in 2014 and has since served as producer or executive producer on titles including *The New Legends of Monkey* (2018–2020), *The End* (2020), *Firebite* (2021–2022) and *The Stranger* (2022).

In 2023 she was appointed to the board of the South Australian Film Corporation. She is creative director at Curio Pictures.
