Rachel Specter is an American writer, producer and actress. Born in Tampa, Florida, she graduated with honours from the University of Florida. She began her career as an actress, appearing in films including *The House Bunny* (2008) and *Prom Night* (2008), and guest-starring in series such as *How I Met Your Mother*, *Gilmore Girls* and *Entourage*.

Specter later moved into writing and producing. She wrote episodes of *One Tree Hill* and *Cougar Town*, and served as a writer and producer on *Crazy Ex-Girlfriend* (2015–2019). She has also produced series including *Hyperlinked* (2017) and *Indebted* (2020).
