Rachel Sweet is an American television writer and producer. Born in Akron, Ohio, she attended Columbia University. She began her writing career in the late 1990s after earlier work as a singer and actress.

Sweet wrote for and produced the ABC series *Sports Night* (1998–1999). Her other credits include writing and producing roles on *Dharma & Greg* (1997–2002), *George Lopez* (2002–2004), *Hot in Cleveland* (2011–2015), *2 Broke Girls* (2011–2016) and *The Goldbergs* (2013–2019). She is married to television writer and producer Tom Palmer.
